UMĀ project - Aufklärungskampagne zum Thema Datenschutz und Datenhandel
Im UMĀ project geht es um die Verarbeitung von personenbezogenen Daten, gegenwärtig und mit Blick auf die Zukunft. Man weiß zwar, dass irgendetwas verkauft wird und man davon betroffen sein müsste, aber es ist unklar, wie detailliert unsere Profile sind. Mittels App-Dummy wird ein ausgewertetes Nutzerprofil erkundet, kurze Stories greifen zukünftige Entwicklungen und moralische Gesellschaftsfragen auf und die Webseite bietet Möglichkeiten, sich tiefgehender mit der Technik auseinander zu setzten.

The UMĀ project deals with the processing of personal data both currently and with a look at the future. While we are aware that something is being sold and that we should probably pay better attention it’s often unclear what that means concretely and just how detailed our profiles are. Via an App-Dummy a fully analysed user profile is explored. While quick stories and looks into future developments as well as moral questions on the website allow for a deeper dive into the technology of data collection.
